Making Christmas Tree Ornaments

Published 1955

This 1950s amateur film (presumably made by Chicago amateur filmmaker Margaret Conneely) stars an unenthused housewife and a dry narration track. Combined, they show us how to make a wide array of homemade ornaments, centerpieces, wreaths and more! From our Margaret Conneely Collection.

Chicago Film Archives holds the copyright for the films created by Margaret Conneely.

Subject: This is a marketing film for Tufflite styrofoam
This is not an "amateur film"; This film was made as a promotional film directed at retailers for the marketing of Tufflite's line of styrofoam crafts. Someone cut the first 70 seconds off the beginning of this film where it shows the actual title and credits, which are: "Tufflite Inc. presents Home Decorations, designs and narration by Lynne Jones".
You Tube has the film in its entirety. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTyMFRDvA2k
